Jennifer Hook is a Cinematographer and Director based in Los Angeles specializing in handheld action/stunt sequences and adventure documentaries.
She majored in Film Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and has lived in Los Angeles since 2009.
In narrative storytelling her favorite projects are those which challenge her to adapt her personal shooting style to fit the theme of the story being told; therefore, her personal style is always evolving. Her favorite sets to work on are those which foster a sense of community among the crew and lead to friendships and working relationships lasting far beyond any one single project. Jennifer constantly strives to improve her work, always learning from her peers in the film industry.
Jennifer’s skills as a cinematographer and editor have allowed her to step more confidently into the role of director on several projects including the feature “Emerson Heights,” the web series “Roommates,” and numerous shorts. Her upcoming passion project is a feature about people whose lives and loved ones are affected by epilepsy.
