Kadian HALL

Kadian Hall is a rising director of photography based in Los Angeles. Kadian’s passion for commercial fashion photography sparked his interest for pursuing the filmmaking industry. Kadian is originally from Hartford, Connecticut where he studied engineering at the University of Hartford. Following undergrad, he started a career as an aerospace engineer where he manufactured military & commercial jet engines for Pratt & Whitney. After a couple of years, Kadian began to embrace his skillset in photography where he began partnering with agencies and brands to enhance their storytelling. Kadian’s keen eye and social skillset gave him the ability to develop trust with companies where he created a direct to client pipeline. In December of 2021, Kadian took the leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in filmmaking. Today, Kadian has a production company called Juice Picture, a small production house that specializes in branded content, documentaries and commercial stills.

Being a Tokina Cinema featured artist would be a great asset because it would allow him to gain exposure as I am relatively new to the LA market. Also, he's always been attracted to the Tokina brand since his early stills career using the Tokina 11-16mm EF lens on the Panasonic GH series cameras and Blackmagic eco-system. He just purchased a Red Komodo and is aiming to rent Tokina lenses for assignments until he is able to purchase his favorite focal lengths. Fingers crossed, he'll be working on a handful of assignments to wrap up the year going into the following. This will allow him to have a larger body of work that features Tokina Cinema lenses. 

In the past, I’ve used the Tokina Vista primes and zoom lenses on a few projects, I’ll always push for Tokina Cinema lenses if the budget allows. My goal is to own a few focal lengths from the Vista prime lineup , as well as a complete set of cinema zooms for docu/travel assignments.
