If you’ve tried Tokina years ago, they’ve raised the bar higher than ever. The build and quality of the housing, gears and glass is great. You could go with other brands to get sharper images but those seem to be missing the dramatic quality that you’d get in all the Tokina lenses I’ve tried, lately. I have three firecrest ND filters and they do their job very well.
Personally, I’m trying to find out how I can make it possible in my near future to be able to own a Tokina Cine Vista prime.
I’ve been using this lens for a little while now and I’ve been loving it. As soon as I switched over to this lens from another cinema lens, the image quality was so much better. The whole crew was commenting on how much better the shots looked. If you’re looking for a cine zoom this is the one.
